Title: RPG Maker 2003 Question
Post by: DarknessEt3rnal on February 06, 2008, 11:02:10 PM
 ??? Two Things. 1. Is it possible to add a folder to the little index thing where you're maps are?
2. Can you change that name and you're project name after the start?
This is for RPGM2K3 ???

When you save the map it should save all your information.

If you highlight a map and right-click and select 'New Map' it creates a new map in the other map, making the first map almost like a folder, but it also acts as it's own map as well...
If that's what you mean...didn' really understand the question, but that's what I got from it...

I've read your first question over and over, and now i finally think i understand what you were asking.

No you cannot make another Folder, the only reason that other Folder is there is because it shows the game your making title when you look down their.

Answer to question 1.

No it is not possible without being able to hack into the scripting part of the maker itself. Reason for this is because, the game would be unable to find and located the map files. As it currently set, the map files are found in local folder,  or " project/ "   Now if one was able to make it happen it would have to be through the  Rpg_RT document.  Which leads to question 2.

When opened  you should see

Quote
[RPG_RT]
GameTitle=[current name of game]
MapEditMode=0
MapEditZoom=0

Where the line says GameTitle=[current name of game]
Just change your game name in that area without the brackets.

so if you wanted to name it The lands of hope

GameTitle=The Lands of Hope

hope this helps.
