Uh, you go to the system tab to modify the initial party. I don't see why the hell you would need any other way to modify it.
I think that he was asking how to remove someone from the initial party Falcon, judging by: 'The guy is with a friend then the friend leaves'. But he did phrase the question poorly :-X
