Title: Warcraft 3 Technical errors
Post by: Sophist on January 21, 2008, 06:23:42 AM
Vista Basic
Running under Windows XP compatibility.
Running as Administrator.

Ok so liek, Warcraft 3 will flicker about every 10 to 30 seconds. Just a small yet obvious flicker, and it makes for very distracting gameplay.

halp?

You do know all you will get is, 'It's Vista'

Flicker? As in something in the bottom right corner? If so, that happens to me, too. I use XP. I suspect it might be a slight pop-up of some sort. Try turning off other applications.

I'm nearly 98% sure it is my graphic driver ~_~

Why?
Title: Re: Warcraft 3 Technical errors
Post by: Sophist on January 23, 2008, 11:52:35 PM
Because about mid game it will go a black screen for about 30 seconds, then a bubble will pop up saying my graphics driver failed and has recovered.

Wait, do you play BattleNet? If so, what games do you play? ;D Only ladder? Or others? Like DotA? lol. I wanted to play DotA with modern once but I never could :(

Expansion or regular?

If expansion, play DotA ;D DBZ Tribute is good, too, regardless of what encyclopediadramatica says.

I have both, and I won't play you because I will only rape you ~_~

Lol play me. In DotA I'm only the level of average pubbies or maybe a bit higher and DBZTU (old version 9.3) I'm a bit higher than average. ;D Beat first tourney as Vegeta without the use of oozaru and I think without the use of senzu beans. I don't think the second part, too. Anski, let's have a contest to see who can get the highest level with anyone before first tourney starts, lol :V

Or you could actually play the fucking game and not some shitty mod about a sub par anime I stopped watching 4 years ago. ~_~

Lol. DB was the best. Anyways, I do play ladder occasionally. :P DotA dominates Warcraft time for me. Then maybe some RPGs occasionally. And ladder games.

AnimeFan is actually right, oddly enough.

It's Vista.  Some graphics drivers haven't been made compatible with Vista yet, though hopefully soon.

I have the same issue, except mine does it randomly, whether I'm gaming or not.  I've done everything I could find to fix it, and nothing has worked.

All I can say is keep updating your drivers as often as they come out, and hope for the best. :P

Could just re-format back to XP, wont lose data, and you will be able to play it.

Everything here is built in, why would they add a driver that doesn't work with vista ;-;

My computer has a sticker right on the top that says, "Vista Ready!".  It still came with some crap onboard card that doesn't have driver support for Vista yet.

What gfx card are you using?

How do you know what to get drivers for? :O

Just make sure to update your drivers, eventually it should be fixed.

Anski, go to start - run - dxdiag

Then go to the display tab i think, it tells you your card and version of your drivers too.
