I don't really... do anything on this forum. I really love the games, but I don't make them myself. I make other stuff. So I wanted to pay back the game makers by making an idea generator for Crankeye.
There is already a random "name" generator, and that is fine. It just takes 2 names and smacks them together to randomly make something. So I was thinking that I would be far more in depth.
What I had in mind is the following concepts:
Random Race Generator
Elves have pointy ears and are known for their wisdom. Dwarves are short, homely and known for their forges. Klingons have cranial ridges and are known for fighting! Orcs are large, green and brutal! Fairies are tiny with wings.
The race generator would randomly take elements and create a race... a pointy eared, short race with cranial ridges with green skin and wings! Or a wise race that is known for its forges and fighting!
There would be multiple things such as: pointy ears, normal ears, floppy ears, no ears, ears tied in a bow. Green skin, white skin, blue skin, tan skin, black skin. I suppose the athstetics would be for the people that do their own sprites!
Random Character Generator
Height, weight, dialect, fears, quirks, self image, public image, career, prefered weapons, habbits, likes, dislikes and so on would be randomly generated so you get a character with depth; without having to waste time thinking up your next... silent hero with spikey hair.
Random Area Idea Generator
This should speak for itself it would spit out IDEAS. It would not make the area for you. If I knew how to do that I would!
An example would be: 2 level cave with a land slide of stones, 4 main chambers containing flowers on level 1, 1 big chamber with an underground lake on level 2. Then it would give enemy ideas... classic enemy ideas such as for this cave: bats, scorpions, mushrooms, rogue magicians.
Random Quest Idea Generator
Enter the level of the quest, like a level 2 quest would involve doing 2 things. A level 5 quest would involve doing 5 things.
Any other ideas?
Umm do you mean like --
Random Skill Generator -
Example: Fighter skill with Axe = Grand Slash
Knight skill with Knight Sword = Excalibur or Ragnarok.
Knight skill with Sword = Triple Slash.
Knight skill with stave = Holy Flame.
etc.
Those are good ideas. I like the skill one too.
An item generator would be nice too.
Haha, I would use that. I'm not sure how you would get it to work, but it'd be cool if the area generator would know to put goblins in a grassy area, or bats in a cave, etc. I'd give you more ideas if I had any...

i got an idea have all generators combind into one program for offline use lika a download for when people who lose internet!!
The character one sounds nice, seventh sanctom or however its spelts has the lamest, un detailed generators i've come across, I gave up on the whole site, really your character one (not race) did it for me. Please make it, hell I'll even give you ideals to throw in for Public image: ect and all that.
