Title: Pretty Please Comment on my Battlers
Post by: maia on December 14, 2007, 01:44:10 AM
Does it go in this forum or the resources forum? These are not resources, I would just like feedback on my battlers to know if I should make a game with this style. If this is not the correct forum, could someone put it into the right one?

I think this should go to the Resources section.
*Leventhan tries to move it but forgot no mod privileges*

For the battlers, they're too.....scantily clad to be monsters and characters
But if it is about the quality of them, they're very good.

No clothes is "in"

I really like these, they're different from the RTP but have a very nice look to them. I also like how you made the shiny clothes (leather? lol idk). Keep making more =]

Looks like a Bratz game. I know they're not Bratz, but it looks based off of it.

Yeah, they look pretty good. I'm skeptical about the knees of the Archer girl though

I'm surprised that you are not skeptical of where the feet are with maia.

At first glance, I thought that she was wearing some sort of strange highheel shoes, but now that you mention it...
Where ARE her feet?!

The feet's there, just it is facing tha player (us) so it becomes so, nevertheless the left leg of the Archer looks creepy~

There will be creatures, but I just wanted to take these and see what people thought before I make creatures, because making creatures is a lot more difficult than making humans :-)

Overall nice job. While I find it odd that an archer will be wearing what appears to be nothing but a metal top and bikini bottom with a cape attached, I know that such seems to be the popular notion these days. Also I notice that the knees are distorted on the archer some, and the feet n Maia seem to be missing. Perhaps a cut-off? Someone has mentioned it is to reflect the way she is facing the screen, but looking at the ways her legs are positioned, I think you would see some sort of a foot there.

Also, I think that the blue girl doesn't quite fit in with the rest. While the style is similar, the shading or detail seems to be somewhat different.

But hey, it is a heck of a lot better than I could do!
