Title: Sound Effects Louder Than Background Music?
Post by: Borlock on November 25, 2007, 03:17:20 AM
I don't know if it is just me, or if it really is happening, but it does seem like sounds (like when you are moving from option to option, selecting an option, sound effects in battle) have all of a sudden gotten louder and the background music has gotten softer... is this a normal problem? (by the way, I'm using RPG Maker 2000, if that helps...)

Is there not an option to adjust the volume of BGM and SE?

I'd assume he's already tried that... >___>

Give this a try: Go to Start, Programs, Accessories, Entertainment, Volume Control. Check the WAVE volume and the SOFTWARE SYNTH volume. If theres a big difference between the two, equalize them and see if that helps.

It worked! :D One was way up and one was way low... I don't know how they got changed, but I'll have to remember this incase it happens again...

So should they both be all of the way up, all of the way down, or both right in the middle? (Or does it matter?)

I'm guessing in 0 or middle.
