Title: [RESOLVED]Messed up tiles
Post by: Exer1 on November 07, 2007, 04:14:42 AM
I'm re-making my maps and for some of my maps that I re-made, and I've encountered a lot of problems.

I can walk on some parts of the walls, also, I can't walk on some parts of the floor. Like there's an invisible block.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I've checked the things that aren't supposed to be passable and it shows that it isn't passable. So I don't know the problem...

Also, the only way that you can't walk on some parts of the wall is because I put something on the wall, like a window.

You do know that X is non passable right?
Is this a default tileset or did you get a new one from somewhere?

Default. Yes, I know X is non-passable.

Is this happening with each tileset or a specific one?

Alright, I fixed the problem with invisible things on the floor. But I can't fix the problem with the walls.

This only happened with the Forest Town Interior

Should I post a screenshot?

Be careful of what you put on the higher layers.  The walls are on the bottom layer, but if you use a blank tile that's set to passable on a higher layer, you won't see anything, but the passability will override the lower tiles and you'll be able to walk through things.  If you had something on the walls and "erased" it, the best tile to use is the very top left one.

Unfortunately you can't SEE if you've put the wrong blank tile there, so I suggest you go to the middle and top layer, use that top left tile and just place it on a couple of spots that you can walk over.  See if it makes a difference - if it fixes the problem you know you can go and spend the time fixing the rest.

Also putting an event marked as Through will let you walk over something, regardless of the passabilities of the tiles below.

Ahh, I'll have to try that when I get home. I've been making events and stuff, so that they wouldn't be able to be walked through.
