Okay, obviously this dude's caused a fair amount of controversy. But now it's just getting stupid.
Animefan: You know what you're doing wrong, and we've told you how to make things better. But you tend to ignore that and glorify yourself. As a result, you're getting all the shit you're getting. And reveling in it, for that matter. I'm not sure what's wrong with you that you would do that, but I'm not going to try to figure it out. Put simply, if you want things to change, do something to change them.
Everyone else: If you're responding to his every post, following him around the boards and basically targeting him, then you're only helping to glorify him. You're acting no better than he is. And if you really wanted to get him to stop acting like this, you'd be smart enough to figure out that setting him on this pedestal you've made for him isn't going to do a damn thing, and would stop treating him as though he's important enough to harass. If you're one of these people, then you need to stop just as much as he does.
In the end, Animefan isn't the only one to blame for any drama in his name; it's the people tailing him around that are doing more for him than they realize. If you want this to stop, then stop yourselves.

Actually, I've been trying not to say anything whiney today. In fact, I've made best efforts to ignore the stuff that tears at my insides. And I don't know WHY you guys gave me my own section, I'm happy you did though. I just made the best of it, but people go in on attack runs down there too.
Of course I am to blame. I said some seriously pathetic stuff. And I guess I shouldn't expect people to accept me back in on the FIRST DAY of going through efforts to be good, but I was hoping they would eventually. From what I've seen, I have a feeling they're never going to accept me back.

You might have tried to put some focus on the anti-flamingness of the topic, but all your talk of animefan only focuses things on him more. Like you said, he's not even worth flaming so don't waste your time. You're a mod, aren't you? Just delete all the stupid flames and eventually they'll get the point.

The focus wasn't solely on Animefan, it was on anyone who trolls him as well because they are a key part of the problem. They might not realize that they're only worsening the problem they're trying to resolve. Nothing's going to get fixed by deleting it; it's been tried and obviously hasn't worked. Animefan's obviously trying to handle the flames he's getting (it doesn't come naturally to some people, it took me a while to harden up) but the increase in harassment he's receiving lately isn't going to help him do that. If everyone chills the hell out about it things will simmer down much more effectively than if I tried to hide what was happening by deleting posts.
