Well I have taken on some more projects and so I will be placing art not related to my own game in this forum.
This is what I started with for Kyotomaru project(Hope he likes it)

Misc. pic:(Can some tell me how to make this look better?)

This doesn't really count as a usable resource.
*Moves to The Gallery*
Ok works for me and here's an addition:

Next I plan to do the over coat.
That looks pretty good. The pose and the costume is awesome. I think the mouth and nose need a bit more definition after the colouring though.
That, and pillow shading is a big, big, big no-no. Look at other art in that vein, and try to emulate their shading. Pillow shading is...just...don't do it.
Its great, i just dont like the eyes, and the angle of the sword to the angle of the hand is a bit odd.
Besides that though, it's a great drawing.
LOL, well at least you guys like everything EXCEPT what I've done. I didn't draw the pic I'm just coloring it in, first time of trying it to. but does this coloring look better?

Tried to get the "edginess" of the color smoother.

I assumed the handle increases in girth as it nears the blade.
Read th pixel tutorial in this site, then implement it in your drawing.

It would look better if you define your lights and darks a little more. Look at your own arm under a light. You'll see that part of it is almost white while part of it is almost black. Try to implement this contrast in your colouring (But try not to use pure white or black as it tends to suck out the depth).
Pillow shading = pencil in brain
I was not aware it was called pillow shading. Now I know.
Wow I didn't know I was so awful at this and to think, I was doin' GOOD, lol. Well like I said it is my first time and there aren't alot of coloring tutorals, just found one and it was like one post about RGB & Hue, Sat, and Lum. I'll check out the site Leventhan posted here soon.
Anyway thanks for the input everyone I'll do my best to become better.
You're much better than me when I started out. Just keep practicing and you'll get better.
Thanks garygill, It took like 7 hrs to make it look that BAD, lol.

Hey just found one of your posts about shading, yeah as I read it I was like, there's no way I could use just 4 colors to do to such a large pic, but then you agreed so back searching.
Four colours? What? You can use any amount of colours for good shading, although its a waste.
Yeah I know. There are no rules set in stone about art. Everything is art and what looks good is in the eye of the beholder as they say, but who are THEY?????????
I like the way my coloring is going though pillow shading or not, It reminds me of using colored pencils, even if they're "in my brain", lol.
I'll get better...............eventually I hope. ;D
The arm blends into the coat. It is very difficult to distinguish between the two. Anyway, keep doing what you are doing. I am sure you will get it to where you want it to be.
I noticed that too, it frustrates me not to get it right, but "THEY" also say practice makes perfect. (No wonder my wife is perfect at being a &!+(#, she sure does practice it alot. :tpg:
So How it'd go?(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi185.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fx99%2FGesselschaft35%2Ficon1.gif&hash=e00312eb33fdc3e4ca9ae40abc70b1e195434a07)
Slow, I've been checking out the megaman sprites you and Arrow-1 have been working on, on top of that I recently downloaded GM 7, it's a very interesting game creator and I've been reading the help menu as I made a couple crappy little test games. Fortunatly I'll get alot of practice since the GM has so few resources to start with. Getting ready to make a fireball attack for a Mario character I have. I'll practice some shading on that (it's ALOT smaller, lol).
Also I was looking for some of those megaman resources to practice a bit. Are they in any forum or would someone have to download the game in order to get them? Just wondering it's no big deal, there's many other things I could edit and create, so I'll have some more various things here soon hopefully. Like a kid I have to get over my new toy(GM7 :P).
Here, the megaman sprites:

Thanks Leventhan, If it weren't for you I wouldn't get anything. They should give you props, your own board, a raise, a promotion or something. In my eyes your alright. Thanks.
Aw.....really?
I just like helping people, and helping people finish something or reach a goal.
Thanks for the praise! ^_^
Well I took some time out of what I was doin' to practice a little shading. Here's one of those Mega Man Enemy sprites. The first one is the one I editted,(If you can't tell):
