Did this over the summer. Couple weeks worth of work.
Process:
Step 1 (http://img524.imageshack.us/img524/716/screenshot01qz3.jpg)
Step 2 (http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5319/screenshot02pw4.jpg)
Step 3 (http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/1783/screenshot03kr4.jpg)
Step 4 (http://img515.imageshack.us/img515/5805/screenshot04vs1.jpg)
Good one.
But somehow I feel that it's more focused on the sky rather than the people...
damn,,looks bloody scary
would make an awesome mousepad! haha
@jap0911 - I didn't notice this before but you're right. It's probably because I made the smoke so bright. Making it darker would probably draw more attention to the people.
@djkdjl - Yeah I was going for a creepy effect.
:o
I love it, a few things though really:
I'm not sure why, it has great shading, but it seams flat, other than the old man
In my opinion, even if they are soulless, more facial expression is needed, as well as maybe some gore (A missing arm on the man would look cool)
Once again, the sky needs some work
The ground they are standing on in the foreground is too mushy.
Great critique, thanks. Some of the things such as lack of fatal wounds on the standing figures and very expressionless faces are intentional. But things like the overly bright sky and mushy-looking ground were mistakes on my part.
Its good, although I hope that everything that is still orange-lined gets turned into something, as it kinda looks like they're still in the guideline stage. However, this is really good, so...keep it up ^^
No that's as done as it gets, haha. It's supposed to be reflected light but I guess it ended up looking like guidelines. =(
Ah, I see it now. In that light ( no pun intended) it looks good ^^
I don't really think the sky draws the eye away from the figures too much, but I think that the piece needs more blood :P
Wow you guys sure like killing don't you. Okay I will post up another piece. Maybe you will like that one more.
EDIT: =)
We love your pieces, but saying that over and over won't help you be better.
Oh for sure. I was actually smiling when I typed the above post.
Good. I hope you keep doing stuff and posting it here, it's really some great artwork.
yes...Although you make my art look crappy XD
He makes all our art look crappy !
In a positive way, of course.
The sky background looks to smoky.
And flat, fortunately.
But the people looks pretty good. :)

Painted entirely on MS Paint in about 1.5 hours. Obviously it would look better if I had more time to work on it.
I didn't want to post this before but I had to prove a point. Photoshop is undoubtedly a better tool than MS Paint but if you understand how to draw something, you can draw it with simple tools too.
