Title: Frets on Fire (Guitar Hero Clone for PC)
Post by: Tezuka on October 07, 2007, 08:08:38 PM
I found this funny Guitar Hero clone while looking into Guitar Hero III coming out for PC, it is actually quite interesting, you hold the keyboard like the Guitar, using the F1, F2, F3 and F4 (F5 on Amazing mode aswell), using Enter for the first Pick and Right Shift for the Secondary Pick (which I don't know what is for)

Video of me failing at it:

It can be tricky to get the hang of, but it is fun and very addictive.

You should try it.

Frets on Fire (http://fretsonfire.sourceforge.net/)

If you have played it before, do you think it has anything on the genuine Guitar Hero?

the alternate pick is like strumming up and down when using a real controller
so that you can get the faster sections without having to rapid-spam one key and destroy it

all in all it is a great attempt
and you can port songs from GH or GHII disks directly into the game
so I give it two thumbs up

's a decent clone that lets you customize GH songs like we all wish we could without a 2 day hacking process

Meh Guitar Hero is comming to PC so this will be useless, unless they let you use the guitar.

Yes, it does, use PPJoy and connect the Guitar to it, as it is USB.

That'd be better, but i'd still prefer guitar hero. The notes slide smoother.

It's FRAPS causing lag, it actually goes 80fps.  :tpg:
