Just started re-designing a site for someone.
Here is the progress as of today:
http://mildgreen.com/fire/
anything you can say would be great D:
Did you make the fire icon too?
Nice choice of colours, Leventhan likes. ;D
The fire icon is good, the white style and blue texty-thingo is good too.
It's good Nouman, you impress me. Keep up with the good work and you shan't be harmed.
FIRE ICON OWNS MY BUTT. Hahahahaha.
I also love the color scheme, and of course, the simplicity. It looks simple, clean, and professional. I never ever knew that you are really skilled in web design! =D
I wish D:
no the fire icon was given to me to use. It was a design contest at first where users used the icon and made a site that he would like. I won so I am making it now.
and thanks for taking a look and leaving comments. ^^
oo sexy design :D
Nice dude. Hey i have a question, How do you find all these people that need websites lol
there are hundreds of freelance job boards, google them if you'd like.
And you get paid for doing them?

moving it on over for him. Haven't finished making it perfect with wordpress (homework), but in the end it will be powered by wordpress. I mean holy shit this thing can do EVERYTHING. I will use a plugin to make his site a "pay" to download site and all that can be done with plugins D:
it can do everything!!!!!!
Uhhh....
I still don't quite undersand.
What program is needed to do that, and what programming language? PHP?
program:
notepad
dreamweaver
html kit
notepad++
there are many.
I use html and css I don't know php.
I'm studying HTML, used to it but not master.
What's the difference of HTML and PHP?

Ah, I knew HTML would be useful. I kinda mastered it. ;D
So, we need to be able to use both HTML
and CSS?
The programs, is all of them is needed or just one of them?
Cuz it happens I have dreamweaver but never have the chance to use it.

only one of any of the listed programs is needed. Also, you don't NEED to know CSS, just it is preferred.
Ah, but when you Nouman for example make something like the fire site you made, the graphics layout and other graphic stuff is pre-made, right?
Not made by the codes.
http://myfireofficer.com/ <- view via firefox only please ^^
Yes, I make everything in photoshop, but as you see, not everything is images. You can highlight all the titles, they are text and not images, but my photoshop file looks like this:
then I use it to base the code off of, and cut up some images out of it.
Yeah, I know how to make text higlight when touched by mouse.
What about wordpress?
Is is the default template editor or something, and is it necesarry?
...Sorry if ask too many questions. :P
most of your queries can be done a number of ways but css is always seems cleanest
a:hover{what link looks like when mouse over}
youll need to go through css tutorials to know exactly what to enter.
if youve got dreamweaver or similar it cant probably do this for you.

no wordpress is not necessary. It's actually a way to score some extra bucks. I finished this guys web site already, then he saw wordpress and gave me 150$ on top to install it. It's basically a CMS. (management system) so people can easily add/edit/ect. content on the site. Yes you will have to take your web page and make it into a wordpress template, not really hard, but it can be the first time around.

Hm, I might try using dreamweaver...
cool.
web design is pretty fun to do.
Yeah, I know.
I made some sites some months ago, but with HTML and I'm not quite happy with it. :(
