Title: needing a game
Post by: iceflame1019 on August 17, 2007, 05:08:18 PM
As the title says, I'm needing a game.  Well, two actually, but one more right now than the other.

I need a work-safe, free or better online (preferably multiplayer) game that I can play while sitting here on this Widnows 2000 computer monitoring machines.  I've already tried RuneScape, AdventureQuest and DragonFable, and those are old and dull now cuz of those stupid free-player limitations.

Got any ideas?

The other game is the PC version of Final Fantasy VII...I'm looking for one that costs less than the retailers' $50-79 (much less)  If you know, post here: http://rmrk.net/index.php/topic,20329.0.html

EDIT: forgot to mention...can't install things on the computer I use...I can at home but not at work.  and at work is where I need them...

OH **** NO!!!! sorry, but after Dragon Hearts I ain't NNEEVVEERR touching a text game again.  Boring, complicated, and I kept dying cuz of all the high-level players stalking me.

You could try Tales of Pirates, CeresRO(But then you'll need to find a download for the actual RO game on bittorent..), CorumOnline, or AruaROSE..

All those games are fun..

Oh or Audition

ALL of them are awesome.

oooo...didn't realize I need to install these... >_<

can't install them on the computers at work...sh*t.  can't install ANYTHING on the computers at work...
*almost crying with frustration*

if that's all there is, sounds like I'm up sh*t's creek when it comes to anti-boredom...

any more suggestions?  Corum and Rappelz sound cool but I can't put the clients on the computer I sit at all day...extremely frustrating.

,,X_  _X,,  (fingers crossed in hopes of more suggestions)

I'll look into the first two as well, but I already tried Battleon...AdventureQuest and DragonFable got old really fast without membership.

Didn't Tezuka post a ff7?
Also, it would be good if you post this in the trading section, you'll get more replies

I put a link to my FF7 request in trading up in the first post...I consider "trading" to be more along the lines of, y'know, trading, like looking for FF7.  This is still "video games" but I see your point.  (and yes, apparently Tezuka did, but read the request in Trading and you'll see...)

Well I'm back from preparing stuff...didn't take nearly a long as I thought it would...but now the browser will only let me see what's in my internet history, so I can't access those sites yet...crap...I can't access any threads here that I haven't clicked on today.  no clue why.  Should be fine again in about an hour or so though.

"cheap-ass job"?  I get paid more here compared to other places I've looked at, and it's a university lab.  Know how many computers there are here?  Too many for the university to afford to replace or update!  If I want a better computer I gotta buy my own and set it up here.  The computers are mainly used for running lab equipment, and most of them around here are old 95's or 98's or 2000's with mixed-matched parts to keep them running.  I ain't leavin this job anytime soon, I need the dough for college, and it's the only job that will allow me schedule flexibility for college stuff that may get in the way.

Be a little less critical, dude.  Please.

Well, Muffin.King, I've started an account on KoL...looks funny but odd.

@link: Tactics arena? I've heard of it...isn't it kinda like a simpler version of ff tactics? but against human players?

crap I can't post!  people keep posting!  not a bad thing though i guess...

@irock--I've heard of madness...i'll look into it.

I'm not even reading that.
I was being sarcastic, seeing how that's a terrible operating system.
Don't take it seriously.

sorry...i'm really tired and I'm getting sick of all these meetings... but a job's a job i guess...I don't want to go to college either, just thinking about it makes me feel like crap.

Sorry about that but when I'm tired I can't tell sarcasm from serious (also kinda hard to tell online)

it's definitely weird but strangely and scarily entertaining.  I think I'm gonna end up staying.  Just got that mosquito larva and terrarium...

also a bear holed my groin as it said...only 2 damage though...this game is really weird.  But funny in a weird way.

accordian thief, huh?  I picked sauceror...

I'm looking into tactics arena as well but I can only see the main page...gotta wait til tonight i guess (gotta love windows XP)

and I'm not big into shooter games...and madness won't load anything past the selection screen.  (DAM this not being able to download, it's killin' me!)

wow that game gets tough after level 3...either that or I have THE worst luck when it comes to randomly-generated outcomes...and there's not enough "adventures" per day, I'm already out...and at my eating limit...but it's definitely got me "hooked" (in quotation marks cuz it's not an "addiction" or anything, it's a new thing to do during the day)
