Title: Is there a way to let the player choose his/her sprites?
Post by: clakes707 on July 29, 2007, 11:32:14 PM
I am making a game kind of like the online RPG Adventure Quest(not online).  Is there a way to let the player choose his/her graphics?(battle and character sprites) Thanks a lot!

Yes. Depending on what method you want the player to choose. Your best bet would be a conditional branch, left and right, and inside them do the following:

You're in Adventure Quest, Leventhan?  I prefer DragonFable...better animation and not as many close-calls needing an uncalled-for number of potions...

Yeah, clakes, do as they say with the conditional branches, cuz my most recent game works fluidly with character-sprite selection using Show Choices and Conditional Branches.  It makes it a bit harder if you're showing faces and such in messages but it's just an extra conditional branch for when the character speaks.
