heres the first sprites i made from scratch last night for my historical game theres a british soldier british admiral french soldier french captain and robert emmet so what do you guys think am i going good

You need to shade the clothes a bit more, they look a bit monotonous.
Also change the hair a bit. Other than that it's alright for a first try.
...Hair? There is no hair. That's the RTP template no-hair thing. Add hair and they will be fantastic.
If you've got photoshop, the Burn and Dodge tools will be your best friend for shading

try saving as .png, its about the only way characters will work

i foun dodge do you mean blur? or burn i cant find burn
there ok but yea they do need to be shaded and the pants seem very bright
the general is probably your best 1

I suppose if all your sprites are in that style the game could work...
I like them, they need some work to fit in with the RTP sprites, but great first attempts !!!
