Title: The Wolf is in the house
Post by: DestinyWolf835 on July 24, 2007, 07:26:04 AM
Hello RMer's, my name is obvious so no need for that  :)

I'm a newbie at RM, and currently using the 2K3 program, but I am slowly making my up to the top and hopefully one day I can make vast, deep RPGs like other masterpieces this community has seen.

Well, I have nothing to say about myself as of now, so i'll end this topic off by saying it's nice to be here, and i'll make the best out of this visit.  ;D

^Lol, nah.

So yeah, thanks, but if I may ask, would be there a tutorial for making a conversation?

Basically, what I want to do is, I create an event, I walk through into a specific land point, and an NPC spawns and walks to me off-screen, then engages in a dialogue, how can I do that?

I've been messing with RM2K3 for a bit, but cannot find out how to do this.

Hello and welcome  ;D
I am using RMXP, but i guess i can help you with that:
First, you need to create an event in the place where you want to make the NPC talk to you when you steps there, the event must be with Starts when touch player, oh, i forgot to say, you need to create an event that is going to be the NPC too. Then, in the other event, you need to put Move Event; choose the NPC event and make it walk towards the player. Then you just need to put a message  ;)
Is that what you wanted?
