Title: Different Encounters in World Map (RMXP)
Post by: Taavistain on July 20, 2007, 03:33:55 PM
Is it possible to have different encounters in same map,but in different section of the map(Like world map where is 2 islands with different encounters)?
I've tried to search if there is a script or something event based solution, but I haven't found any good solution...
So if you know that it's possible to have different encounters in same map please post here.

Thx

Well, I wrote a script to that effect here:

However, it probably won't be exactly what you want, since it does it by level, not position on the map. If you have access to both islands within the same level range (i.e. your party does not need to be a higher level to be on one island) then this script will not be effective. However, it is not a difficult script to make and so I can make it for you if you like.

I checked your script just before I wrote this Post. It's good script, but I really would like if you could make the one what I'm looking for.
I'd really respect that, coz it would save my games World map.

Info about my World map(if needed):
Width:500 Height:500
Different monster areas(or just Islands):I have 3 islands ready, but I think I'll make about 4 or 5 Islands
Name:World

I hope this information will help!

If you were using 2000 or 2003, you could set areas for different encounters.

Of course, you could make them run-in encounters, Like monsters running around on the map, and have them have different battles for each island.
