Title: My game disappeared, can anyone help?
Post by: Dragonware~Lupe on July 11, 2007, 05:55:23 PM
Ok, I was up until midnight last night working on my game. Before I went to bed I saved my game and closed out everything before turning off my computer. This morning I came on and my game was gone. I still have the folder it was in, I have all the graphics, audio, rgss player, configuration settings and maps, but I DO NOT have the actual project or any of the other data such as actors, animation, scripts, etc. Does anyone know what happened or is it just something my computer did? This is the second time this has happened to me so it's really starting to piss me off. If anyone could help I would greatly appreciate it.

did you try using the Windows search?  It might all still be intact, just in another folder.  If it's been deleted, it could be sitting in the recycle bin - you didn't say if you looked there already.  Hope you find it!

I'm guessing the projects save to a different folder, like somewhere in My Documents or something.

To figure out where. Press start new game, but stay at that initial screen where you choose folder name and project name, and look at the directory it saves to.
