I think I've got the right place for this...
I'm currently using the demo version, but will be registering in the next couple of weeks. However, I'm hoping the tax man likes me enough this year that I can buy myself a laptop. If I register RMXP, will that allow me to run it on my PC AND laptop? Or do I need to register it for each machine (in which case I probably won't)?
Also while it's on the demo, the game attempts an online connection each time I run it. Will this stop after I've registered, or will I always need to be online whenever I'm using it? (this will help determine whether to install it on the PC or the laptop if I have to choose between them)
Oh - last question - does anyone know if RMXP will run ok on Vista, or are there plans for an RPG Maker Vista?
Thanks.
You don't need an active connection to use RMXP, so the answer is yes.
Unfortunately, I am pretty sure you can register only on one PC. If I were you, I'd register only on one computer and get a keygen for your other computer. After all, you do own the program, so it makes sense you should be able to run it on either computer.
From what I've heard RMXP can't run on vista.
ok - thanks for the quick responses.
RMXP can run on Vista.
There has however been a lot of trouble for many people it seems.
It's pretty much a gamble from the infomation I have collected on the web. It might work or it might not.
It worked when I tried it on Vista ^^
