Title: Dealing with the Battle Algorithms
Post by: Calintz on July 01, 2007, 02:56:10 PM
How does strength effect your attack power!?

Also, when you open the database and you're making a new character.....Out of the six attributes that you use to make their stats, which one counts for Defense?????? Is it Dexterity??

Defense is caluculated by the armor, not by any paticular stat

Ok.....thnx

So how is strength related to attacks??

Also, is it even possibe to do damage to an enemy if you don't have a weapon equipped, because I'm starting to think that strength really doesn't have anything to do with Attackpower, and all damage is based on Physical Attack, to the enemy's Physical Defense.....

Strength is the actual strength of the character, and I think attack power is the % of damage they do :-\
I'm not entirely sure, but I think thats it

I tried once to attack without a weapon, but you always do 0 damage. You can do damage without a weapon by using skills, but not by using the attack option. Also the strength is the power off the character itself, the psych damage is only the weapon. So if i go fight to a bodydiulder, he has more strength than me, but if i use a metal sword and he a wooden one, we are both the same, because he has more strength but less psych damage. I hope you get it now.

Metal>Wood

Cut through the wood, and fail. (I complicate things)  :tpg:

The main factor is actually the attack power NOT strength.

the damage is mainly affected by the weapon you are using

and yes what they say is true str increases your attack damage but when you dont have a weapon you will always do 0 damage.
