Title: .BIN file
Post by: okartee on June 25, 2007, 08:57:35 PM
I currently have the Diablo 1 Expansion (Hellfire) in a .bin file. I looked around a bit, and most of the tutorials told me how to put it on a cd, which I don't want... I only want to open the file on my computer and extract it to my Diablo folder. Is it possible to do this, or should I just get a 500 mB cd?

Ha, no. Go download Daemon Tools and mount it. (http://www.daemon-tools.cc/dtcc/announcements.php)

As previously stated, download Daemon Tools
OR Power ISO

both are very good programs. Use these to mount the bin file, and then play and enjoy. :D

Power ISO is shit and I wish they would piss off with their shareware crap and propietory image format.

I won't get anything if it's in their shitty closed advantageless ".daa" format.

Now it's as if you have the actual CD in one of your CD drives. Just go from there.

You could try browsing the CD and looking for a setup.exe or similar =x. Most game CDs will do the autorun thing when you mount them.
