its like in final fantasy, you walk and sometimes a battle will happen, thanks. o btw i am useing rpg maker xp

That is configurable in each map where you set the width, height, background music, etc. Please learn more about the program you are using before you request a script?

that did help, but i mean i dont have to put in a encounter step rate so the player walk 5 steps and gets in a battle  and the next time walks 7 steps and gets in a battle (those numbers are just examples, it can be any number is what i am trying to say)

That...I can't think of a way to do right off the top of my head. You'd have to modify how the map encounters are done. That much I'm certain of.

I know how to do it in RPG Maker 2k3.
When you make a map, right under "Wrapping", there's "Enemy Encounters". Add the enemy groups you want by double clicking the slot, then there's "encounter rate". The higher it is, the faster you'll find enemies. Hope this helped,
