i don't know if there is a script or something for this already but if there was i wouldn't know what to search for so this is why i started a topic.
is there a script or something for a side view system where your sprites have their animations without the weapons and the weapons have their own sprites so if you equip a different weapon it has a diferent sprite for it in the battle?.. if that makes sense

23 people have viewed and none have answered, I guess that answers your question... there probably isn't... I have seen something similar to what your asking for, but it's pretty buggy or some thing...
If I was you I would make it so each playable sprite in your game can only use a maximum of say 6 weapons and then just make 6 different animated battling sprites... If you was to give me the images of the sprites in side view without weapons and images of the weapons for each sprite I would make their attacks and that for you...
Put a script request in and a resource request, and see what gets done first.
nah thats alright, ill probably just do what you said. i'll have more weapons but that just means more work but i don't care.
i started this topic a while ago n thought i'd bump it.
there is!!! ;D
ccoa's side-view system
you just have to do the battler and them make the animations for all of the weapons
them save the file like this: - the battler animation file "name_attack_default"
- the weapon animation file "name_Red_Sword_attack_default"
you have to know how to work with ccoa's system to know what I'm talking about i guess

nah thats alright i'm using a different side view already... i think. Did Cogwheel make a side view? i'm not sure whos it is but it's called RTAB w Extras when i downloaded it.
DerVV made that (I think).
The long and hard way to do it is to put an event somewhere and use conditional branches to change the actors battler....
