Title: Party HP and HP/MP Steal skill questions (RM2k3)
Post by: Sigma on June 01, 2007, 04:43:01 AM
How do I make it so my party members' HP doesn't start out so high at 300?

I'm wanting it to start at 30 or so and slowly rise .
I'm wanting to lower all of the other attributes (ATK, DEF, etc) as well to compensate for the lowered HP.

Secondly, how would I concoct a skill which steals HP/MP from an enemy and gives it to the party member?

Thanks, and sorry if I'm asking too many questions.

You set stat growths in the Actors Tab (in XP. In 2k3, it is the hero tab) of the database.

For stealing HP/MP, you can do that with variables, though that can get complicated (depending on how much depth you want the skill to have. It's actually not too too hard). In XP, you can also do it with scripts. I believe there are a few already out there. Maybe trickster made some ... I'm not sure, but they're out there.

You don't need to use variables in RM2K3, just choose the skill in the skills menu and click on the absorption button. This will absorb Hp/Mp, depending on what you choose.
