I can't restore my computer. I even tried it in safe node. Does anyone have a solution.

Unplug cables
Throw computer out window
Smash remaining parts with hammer
Buy new computer

...Or...choose a different restore date...

on the free alternatives to comercial software theres a list of free virus scanners. I also recomend spybot search and destroy and ad-aware(the free edition) as well as ccleaner which should speed up your browser after running it yeasterday on my computer it deleted 4GB! of junk that was making my pc rather slow.

There's a checkpoint every day, including that one.

I don't use internet explorer, and I hate it. If you're talking about right now, I'm on another computer. I've never used "search all torrent websites.exe" And I don't use his toolbar. And I don't run random .exe files.

My computer runs fine, but I don't like viruses tearing up my computer. And spybot isn't helping.

My question; Is there a way to restore your computer to a previous time, without completely resotring the entire computer to the time you bought it?

I beleive it's called, backup your files and then format :)

Sling your McAfee and norton discs into your microwave and start it up. The show you'll get is the most use they'll ever be.

Of course, having common sense is the best antivirus ~

I plan on doing that when I get home.

I don't have Norton. And I downloaded McAfee, so I can't put it in the microwave. :V

I blame my friend downloading a 'Wii Points Gen' without my permission.

EDIT: But I don't have a Windows XP installation disk, so I can't reformat.

I have an HP. I can't get much information on it now, since I'm not on it. But I'll check as soon as I can.
