Hi! I'm writing this post for the second time now as my internet got COO-COO and closed down.
However, I finally finished my first sprite ever and I would like you to rate and comment them! :)
I made the sprite based on the Kaizer-Child template using GraphicsGale (FreeEdition) and actually think it got pretty good! But, what do I know? I mean, I still am a total n00b at spriting, so...

Oh, btw. The file is in .png format, if it's important for you! ;)
That looks nice! The only problem is that the face (the template) is a bit more... blurry and not as defined in colors as your hair, shirt, etc. is.
@mastermoo420
Yeah, but still... I think it's great for a first try! At least a first try for me... :-\
And also, I actually did the clothes with up to 5-6 different shades, or something like that... However, I think it's great for my first try! ;D
EDIT: I just thought about the weird should-area of the jacket he has. Well, that's... Uhh... That's nothing at all. It's just no jacket there... I don't know, really, what I was thinking then, it doesn't look too good... :'(
No doubt about that. Have you finished a whole spriteset?
well, I think the sprite is about a 3/10, but since it is your first time, I will give you a 8/10. I think it is pretty good for a first try, but I will show you four large(r) problems.
1. Hair highlights should go down the locks of hair, instead of in a line across, but down the hair randomly, not as if you were colouring something whole.
2. Outlines are far too dark. Never use dark outlines, unless you are doing a cartoon style drawing, but dont alternate between realistic outlines and black ones. Make it a very dark shade of what you are drawing, like the red shirt would have a crimson outline.
3. The pants are too straight, and the shading makes it look like a cylinder. Real clothing has folds, and you need to show this in the shading. I will try and show you how later, it is still a little tough for me.
4. Lightsource. On the pants, the lightest shade is on the left, but on the shoes, the highlight is on the right? So is the lightsource coming from the right or the left? Make this more clearly defined in your next peice.
Good job, I might edit it to try and fix your mistakes later. Always good to see a new spriter.
Looks like metal, you should try not to use bevels...
I did some stuff to it, but I gotta go help cook.
