Title: Argg....Wait for move's compleation question! [resolved]
Post by: Treign on May 15, 2007, 07:40:40 PM
Here's the situation.

I wanted to make a child run around in circles on screen so i set the move route and make it repeat in the move route.

After that command i wanted to be able to walk up to the child and when a character presses enter dialog to come up...

I got it to work fine but the child wasn't running in the begining, you would have to actaly talk to her first to get her to run...that was ok...BUT

If i put "Wait for moves compleation" Anywhere in that area on any other event the game would freze and wait for the moves compleation of the child but the child don't stop.

My question, IS this a game glitch? Is there away to get this to work?

I've tried several other ways with no luck.
If possiable i would like to have her running in the begining and whe you talk to her a message to appear and afterwards she would start running again.

Set the child's movement as a custom move in the type, rather than as an actual movement command.

See under Autonomous Movement, to the right of the character graphic.

Thats wrong.

Make a Parralel Process character. Put in its custom move route (Or Moderns one). Then make a condition branch the 'C' button is pressed and then in the branch put in what it says. ;D

It's not wrong...your way will work also but i'm not familar with putting buttons as condition branches yet. Both are right...he pointed out something i totally forgot about :P
