Hi all. I wanted to ask, is there a script to make loading screens? Sorry if there was a topic like this.  :)

loading screens?

like 0% to 100% then start game?
or: like showing your name and company names before title screen shows.
also what version of rpg maker?

yeah, from 0% to 100%, in bar. after that that will show a small cutscene(before the titles). I'm having RMXP official.  ;D

hmmm i'm not a scripter so i wouldn't know. but if you had the time...holy hell some time images can do this trick.

Is it just for fanciness or is there an actually purpose with the game taking along time to load?

Most likely a purpose. Why would the makers want to have the people playing wait a minute or so (depending on their computer) just for some fancy loading screen? ???
