Title: As anyone bumped into this .... error or problem...really odd
Post by: Treign on May 10, 2007, 04:15:23 AM
You may need to read slowly...this is the best i can explain it :P

Ok here is what i am doing. I'm making clouds pass by setting them up as events (200 Transparency) and making them THROUGH, DIRECTION FIX, ALWAYS ON TOP & PARALLEL PROCESS. I then add LOOP and place this inside...Move route >Change Transparentcy 200, LEFT LEFT LEFT ect ....... Change Transparentcy 0< Then add >Wait for moves compleation< Then >Set event location and place it back to its orginal position. I exit out and run the test play and it works perfect....BUT

I repeat the process for a second cloud AT A DIFFERENT SPEED but it does not work. It stops at the end of the last LEFT position and stays there. I've been at it for a few hours and i've selected "this event" for the second cloud. I'm positive i'm not making a mistake....

I was playing around with it for hours and relized that the WAIT FOR MOVEMENT command placed in ANY parallel process event, effects the entire PARALLEL process of EVENTS. How do i know is becuase if i set them up at the same speeds and the same amount of movements so that all triggers go the same time all the clouds move and all events work fine.

Another note...i tried switches but its needs too many of them and i'm really not in the mood to set them up. Example....cloud 1 runs on switch 1 and switches itself off while switching on cloud 2......and the final cloud switches back on cloud 1 again.

My question is....as ANYONE ran into this situation or do you know of a beter way to do this?

are you trying to move the clouds image? (I just forgot what the image is called xD ) well there is a script that allows you to move them. I don't know where I saw it but best bet is hbgames.org

The WAIT FOR MOVEMENT button waits for ALL movement to be finished. By movement I mean the set move route command.
The Autonomous Movement does not count.

Anyway. You could check it's x or y coordinate and set the event location when the x or y coordinate is the right thing.
You could also use images. That isn't so difficult.
You could learn from the principles I've used in this:
