I was wondering if anyone could create (or indeed, tell me where I might find) some scripts for the following abilities:
Self-destruct: User is KO'd. Deals damage to one enemy equal to the amount HP the caster had remaining before dying.
Transfusion: Same as Self-destruct, only instead of dealing damage it fully heals a chosen ally to maximum HP/MP.
Revenge: Aka "???" or "Pumpkin Head". Deals damage to one enemy equal to maximum HP minus current HP.
Doom: Aka "Death Sentence". A (visible) timer appears over an enemy's head, which starts at 5 and decreases by one with each turn. At 0, the enemy is KO'd. (Must fail to hit Death-resistant enemies)
Pond's Chorus: Aka "Frog Song". I don't so much need help with the ability as I do the status. Is there a way to temporary change a character's/monster's regular attack animation whilst they're afflicted with a status condition?
If anyone could help with one or all it'd be much appreciated.
use common event, i think.
first, make a new status effect called "A" example.. put checked on unresistable.
and make a new common event "B"
on skill windows, put checked on "A" Status effect, "B" common event and one enemy on target
on common event B put this conditional branch:
<>Conditional Branch: [1] is Status
<>Deal damage[1.], ???!
<>Deal damage[hero.], ???!
End
I think there's a version of this in Tons of Add-On's, if there is, try it, post there for any bugs, unless you just don't like it, and if this is solved, add [Resolved] to the topic title.
I think the one in Tons of Add-ons is just Learn Enemy Skills.
If the user who requested this is still active, say so and I can make these for you probably.
A couple could use Common Events... but then again Scripts are always better due to less space tooken up. I need to learn how to script myself...
Yeah, most of them, but they need minor script parts, like determining who the target of a skill is. If I did it, I'd probably just explain how to set up the common events.
You can probably determine the target with Common Events, too, but that'd be alot of space tooken up, where as scripting is only a few bytes. So, modern, I guess its up to you, I'm no good at RGSS.
