Yet another mapping tutorial due to request.
I used the RTP Farm Town In tileset.
I would love to get some feedback on if these are helping anyone.
Lets start with making a new map, mine is 30x25.
Step One:
Fill the first layer with a floor. xD

Step Two:
Go ahead and make the outline of your wall, using these tiles.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-2-1.jpg&hash=5d0241431fe4b67db9da5167f6247b53c75bdbfa)
It should look something like this.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-2.jpg&hash=fef3e0d63e75b09bc8047f5e4cc206933ccd9c45)
Step Three:
Next, we'll need to fill in the corners of the outline, do that using these tiles.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-3-1.jpg&hash=2e123f1ac5ec17f1866468dfda3938518c3840f9)
Now it should look like this.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-3.jpg&hash=17332d42d100bb18b6833cab0e95e7680cebff6d)
Step Four:
Now add the wall tiles, and don't forget to fill in the outside of the room with the black area between the wall corner tiles.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-4.jpg&hash=86b27a1d441790f5828dc9881aa88497f7554332)
Step Five:
Put some stuff around the room, I made an Inn, so I'll add some tables, a counter for the innkeeper, and either some beds, or someway of getting to the "bedroom".
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-5.jpg&hash=919f2f02b4636e6881dd3563c577171a36afa0fe)
Step Six:
Add some people, and any other events you'll need.
(https://rmrk.net/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi67.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fh296%2FJalkson%2FRMXP%2FFarm%2520Town%2520Int%2520Tut%2FStep-6.jpg&hash=784a754f9a6835912d49942057412b312622d5ca)
Here's what it will look like in game.

And there you have it, a nice Inn for your heroes to rest in. :]
The map itself isn't too great, but it should be enough to teach you how to use the tileset.
Nice tutorial. At first I thought it was going to be a farm, but then you made a bar. lol
Keep up the good work
ok, i think i got it now, but man the pub/inn was huge
Good tutorial man :)
