Title: Radiata Stories Discussion Topic
Post by: Irgna on May 02, 2007, 08:35:38 PM
Ok, this topic is for the discussion of the kick-@$$ PS2 game, Radiata Stories. Basically, anything that has to do with Radiata Stories should be posted here (favorite character, ideas that you think could make it better, asking for help, ect.).

The greatest RPG in exsitance. I HIGHLY suggest getting it if you have a PS2 or that dud the PS3.

I don't have a PS2, nor PS3, but my brother has a PS2, but he lives half way across the country. (wait, no all the way)

It looked pretty good. What's the gameplay like?

It has a "unique" Action Battle System. You see the monsters on the map, then "warp to a battle field where you fight the group of enemies. The story splits in the middle of the game, and you have to pick a side. There are 177 different allies that you can recruit. Finally, it was developed by tri-Ace and published by Square-Enix (that's why I got it in the first place).

That's more characters than Chrono Cross...for a large scale RPG, that's pretty amazing.

Like I said, it's the best video game in existance.

I love Tri-Ace, unfortunately this was one of their games I never got to try out. Glad to hear its good.
Hopefully you've tried out either "Star Ocean" or "Valkyrie Profile".

Unfortunately, I haven't. But Valkyrie Profile 2 and the most recent Star Ocean are on my "to-buy" list (along with about 1,000 other games).

Radiata Stories is a great game. I beat it twice. Once for each story path. I also finished the bonuus dungeon. I love that game.

I've beaten the human path and am working on my second playthrough now. I have 250+ hours on it, but I play it about 6-10 hours a day (no, I will NOT get a life).

Oh dear...I don't think I want it than! I used to play video games like that, but now I stopped playing them so much. Now, thh, maybe two-three hours, nine hours a week.
But so far, haven't played any this week. Still scared of the spider ball guardian in Metroid Prime 2, had one more hit on it, died....

YAY! 900th POST!!!!! WOOT WOOT!

Congradulations!

And I forget how many hours I played it, but I remember it was a lot.
And I remember the ending to both paths sucked...
I only play that much because I like to overlevel. I'm usually 10+ level higher than what I should be at any given point on every single RPG I play.

Deffinately. I think that they should have added more equipment, though. Specifically armors.

i never beat the game...actually i havnt even gotten to the split. it was a cool game when i was playing it. not that much of an engaging story though...thats the reason why I stopped playing it when I got MGS2...then MGS3...then FF12...then Pokemon... :bean:

it was cool though, i want to play it just to see the split. I dont know which one to pick though, thats another reason I dont play. Cuz im like...about to do the split.

whats ur guys' favorites side?

Both sides have thier pros and cons. The human side has better allies, but the non-human side has better equipment and access to new areas. I find it difficult to want to side with the humans because of the last few things that they do just before the split.
