AS the topic says, I need to know how to make a screen before gameplay starts. I hope this isn't like on of those super obvious things, that will make me look stupid.
Anyway, because this would affect the game play too.
Just set your starting position up in an empty map, and have an autostart event which controls character selection than teleport to the map where the gameplay starts.
I need to ask one more question:
Next, I'm using an ABS system, which is really good. I find it better than Blizz and Mr.Mo, and you have to tell the script the sprite, so it wont let you use it through the system.
So, how would I do this. (I'm sure you would need to see the script, It's way to long to post, so I must attach it)
I copied the script data file, which is in one of those files to my data file, as it says.

I don't understand what you mean ;9
Opps....
Ok, I have an ABS system, where in the begging of the script, you have to define which sprite is the player sprite, so, I put down the one I wanted. (It runs through icon database, usual)
so, I want it to switch the sprite when you pick the other character.
I don't see where it requires you to do that. I just tested it, switched sprites, and it worked fine.
TOTAL EDIT: OK! THANKS SO MUCH M_A!!! YOU ROCK!
I'm glad that I could help. Before Nouman gets here, I'll say it. Please add [Resolved] before your topic title, so:
[RESOLVED] How do I make a character selection before the game starts?
I know that Nouman's prowling the forums, just waiting for one of us to slip up so he can pounce...
LOL! NICE! You won!!! Also, I bet Nouman opens up all unfinished stuff in different tabs and frequently refreshes them just to post that. XD He's just so quick at it.
