Title: how do you erase a event forever

i know there is a earase event button but that only works till you go over to next map.
i want to kill a event forevers. how do i do that?

at the end of the event put conrol self switch lets say A turn it on
new event page under the event on top left check the box for self switch A

when i do that all that comes up is

when i click on them nothing happens, and when i leave it there and play game the npc doesnt show up at all.

Set that up, turning one of those on. Then, above the event commands area it says "New Event Page." Make one. Make new commands, add the graphic you want, and check self-switch. That should work.

I think of switches as a light switch so maybe describing why it is like a light switch would help.
