How do you make an event where you can get a random amount of money or EXP in between two different values?
Thanks in advance ;)
random money (or exp I guess) can be done with the use or a varible.
make a varible. The use Control varible and set it to a random number (the higher the more random)
then make a conditional branch for Varible ____ = ___
so lets say you made the random raviable choose between 1 - 5
Contional branch
Varible Random = 1
- Change gold + 10
Branch End
Contional branch
Variable Random = 2
-Change gold _ 100
Branch End
and so on
O_o I don't get that...
How do I determine what the variable is randomly?
[EDIT]
Ahh... I get it now... (Why am I so thick?)
Thanks Nouman ;)
I suppose you could make events happen after you kill a beast / monster... Just using the change EXP or Gold functions... Just remove the gold and EXP you get in the Monsters section in the database, and after every battle award it as you feel fit...
I suppose you can make many switches that will trigger different pages assigned to you monster / beasts... Making it almost random... For example:-
Have a Beast / Monster
SNAKE LORDQuotePage 1
After the battle in the events window-
Conditional Barnch if item Chain sword possesed
encounter monster SNAKE LORD
Erase Event
Change Gold +100
Change EXP +100
Else
encounter monster SNAKE LORD
Erase Event
Change Gold +100
Change EXP +90
Item Given Chain Sword
End
And as I mentioned you could make these more elbarate and add more Pages triggerd by using swithes to make the results almost seem random...
Like Say you have killed another creature Called the SNAKE QUEEN and that triggers a switch called SNAKE QUEEN DEAD
Quote
IF SNAKE QUEEN DEAD Switch on
Page 2
After the battle in the events window-
Conditional Barnch if item Chain sword possesed
encounter monster SNAKE LORD
Erase Event
Change Gold +50
Change EXP +50
Else
encounter monster SNAKE LORD
Erase Event
Change Gold +200
Change EXP +200
Item Given Chain Sword & Chain Sword
End
Giving each monster say 5 pages of different variable would make the end results alter as much as you like... to a degree...
Nice... ;) thanks for this...
