Post by: Jesse 015 on February 07, 2006, 10:21:10 AM
I am a big believer of Blue, he is right, scripts are very hard, now using events, i have made a select character place

Make 4 people, Now on one of them put this/ Graphics included fot this event.

<>Message: Pick starting character
<>Show Choises: 1st Player, 2nd Player, 3rd player, 4th player
:   [1st]Handler
   <>Change Hero Graphic: [Arshes], 001-Fighter01, 0, 001Fighter01
   <>Erase Event
   <>
:   [2nd]Handler
   <>Change Hero Grapgic: [Arshes], 002-Fighter02, 0, 002Fighter02
   <>Switches: [0002: 2nd Player] =ON
   <>Switches: [0001: This Event] =ON
   <>
:   [3rd]Handler
   <>Change Hero Graphic: [Arshes], 003-Fighter03, 0, 003Fighter03
   <>Switches: [0003: 3rd Player] =ON
   <>Switches: [0001: This Event] =ON
   <>
:   [4th]Handler
   <>Change Hero Graphic: [Arshes], 004-Fighter, 0, 004Fighter04
   <>Switches: [0004: 4th Player] =ON
   <>Switches: [0001: This Event] =ON
   <>
:   End
   <>Switches: [0001: This Event] =ON
   <>

Switch: "this event" ON

Graphic: fighter001

2nd Event/need graphics fighter 002

~_~ scripts are not hard, just not half as flexable as events, in other words once you finish the event or script, any small addition to the script may be a pain while adding to the events is easy, whats more events are easier to understand

quite a nice event, problem:
this will change the graphics, true, but the character will stay the same
