I went to the database, and made an enemy with the imp battle graphic, and made all of its attributes 5, and its health and SP 250.( I did this juts so I could get past that part quickely to see if it would work) When I fight in the game, the enemy has a lot stronger attributes. after two attackes, I am defeated. Why is this? Please help.
It's the ATK. You'll have to put it down a bit. Keep testing it until it's at the damage-dealing power you like.
I have it set to 5, and it does about 300 hundred damage each time.
Hmm, you might have put the STR of the enemy too high, or maybe you set the DEF of your fighters too low. Did you change the stats of the fighters?
No, every single stat of the enemy is 5, except for the health and Max SP. I aven't changed the player's stats at all.
...Does the player have any armour? Does the enemy know any strong attacks?

Yeh, check to see if the enemies can use any skills.
Skills shouldn't have to do anything with the damage... If the enemy used an attack other than "Attack" you would know and deduce that it's the skill.
No, I have not changed anything except for the stats. the player doesn't have any armor either, unless if he starts out with armor.
I'm good with stats, can you post a screen of stats or post hat they are, and make sure you don't leave anything out. ;)

No armour. No defence. The 5 gets a critical. Dead in 2.
Or just change the player's base defense up really high, then it'll be ok. Also try giving the guy some armor, try like a Cloth Tunic. Trust me, it'll make it less impossible.
