Title: Fuck the ESA.
Post by: Deliciously_Saucy on April 06, 2007, 08:48:16 PM
And fuck Dan Hewitt. {dhewitt@theesa.com}

I'm starting to see more and more roms being un-available for download because of this company. The last time I fucking checked, you can make backups of any game as long as you own an original of it, all these sites are doing is providing some feasibility in getting these backups and are perfectly legal.

The fuck. I'm sending him hate mail.

Just do what I do and burn them all to cds. Then you only have to worry about it once.

I agree with you both. The ESA sucks majorly! (not a real word...)

The ESA kept me from downloading the first three castlevanias (nes), but I did get around it on g-masters.

I'll have to send him hate mail too!

You have all received infractions.

Reason: Discussing Piracy is not allowed.

These infractions will expire 4 months from now.

FU SILVER! >:3

@Arrow- http://www.theesa.com/ Basically a company made to stop digital piracy I think. Pricks.

Seriously, unless you can buy these games, which you fucking can't, then how else are you meant to play them?

EB, Gamestop and Rhino don't carry any games now that are older than GC, PS2 and XBox, they have them, but they wont but them...  >:(

Which sucks, because I have an N64 and a SNES (aside from my newer systems) which I love, now they tell me that they wont be buying any games, and once all of the games are bought, what am I going to do? Even amazon and ebay have a shortage of older games, and a new super metoid runs for 300$.

Find a used game/record store. Pittsburgh has the Exchange, and you can find games for ps2 for $5. They have an in-box copy of Chrono Trigger there for $100.

Well I'm not going to fucking pittsburgh and paying 100$ to play Crono trigger! HATE MAIL.  mofuckas.
EDIT: Well, it pisses me off that they try and stop it, but I think their heart is in the right place, they have facts about how videogames and violence are unrelated, and how it is a thing for the whole family, and they seem pretty understanding.  If only they understood ROMS are the only way to easily get good, old games.

You could try ebay... But ROMS are definately better. Anyhow I haven't been able to find good rom sites in YEARS.

I have a rom of CT, and almost every good rom, I'll send them to you. Just ask which ones you want and I'll see if I have them.
For snes: try coolrom.com, romnation.net...I can't really remember, but between those two, I think I got like 100 really good games.  ;)
