Title: Multiple MP3 convet/compressor.
Post by: :) on April 03, 2007, 11:36:38 PM
I notice many people's games are HUGE, but its because all their audio is in mp3. Some projects can be as little as 4 mb but after audio it can cross 60mb.

Does anyone know of a mass mp3 convertor? or if thats not good enough a mass compressor. This can help alot.

60 MB isn't that big unless your HD is 10 GB or you're on dialup. And compressing MP3's further is going to make it sound pretty bad.

Doesn't RMXP support vorbis (.ogg)? Use that; it's loads more efficient than mp3.

yea thats the only type of music file I use in my projects, but others always have mp3's that tend to be 5 times the size of of the files I use. Is there a mp3 to .ogg multiple file converter?

that would help tons.

Silver knows more than me, I'm sure, but I know that MP3 cuts audio out in a different place to make it smaller than where OGG cuts audio out to make it smaller. i.e. converting MP3 to OGG means you'll be losing audio from both places, in essence.
