Hey I'm new and decided to join these forums as I've just got hold of RMXP. I'm a complete newbie and am just wondering if theres any tips for me starting out? Also would I be able to make completely original characters pretty easily?
Anywhos about me, I love soccer/football, anime and am currently an art student, well heyas peeps!!!!
:welcome:
Welcome to Russia. I hope you enjoy your stay.
Welcome
Tips: Stay with it, and use tutorials... tutorials will help you learn how to take grasp of RPG Maker's functions, allowing you to eventually be able to come up with your own stuff. Download other games and study how they create maps and pull off certain events, just to help you get an idea of how to piece things together. If you ever need help, just message me and I more than likely know the answer.
About the characters, since you are using RMXP, honestly I don't know much about it, I am more fond of RM2K3. To make custom characters and such for RM2K3/2K go to charas-project.net. They have a generator for making your own sprites.
Oh, and welcome! I'm new here also, and this place seems like the perfect place for a beginner RPG Maker (even though I'm not new to that, just rmrk.net)
Enjoy! ;)
ok it cost 5 bucks a post and 70 for every thread you start. ;8
Yes, I am the one whom you need to pay the money. ;8
I give you, the Diablo Post.
I am someone who posts humongous welcome posts. To start off with things, you'd be wise to read this, so you don't get in trouble for doing something you had no idea about.
Also a thing to be aware of. It had dimmed down lately, but you'd be best prepared for everything. Don't be offended if a number of people flame you, it basically means nothing. Why they're allowed to is beyond my understanding.
Don't be offended by fumanchuu and others not being afraid to hide their sexuality, they just like a place to say it seemingly. Use the search button to find answers to questions that you might have. Who knows, it Might have been asked already. That helps avoid people from flaming you or dumbing you down.
Follow the rules..and don't join the flaming crew. If people say something, that relates to an incident that might HAVE happened in the past on this forum, you might be like "what are they talking about." Suggest you get briefed about "Important stuff" so as you don't repeat something people hate.
Now, a recent issue that has come up is that if you happen to get into a fight with another member, try to not let it get too out of hand. (Ya, it's the internet, but you wouldn't believe all those that have had this problem).
What a long post. Welcome to the forums, follow that, and no one should bother you. Except those that have nothing better to do then that, but just ignore them.
I own the welcome forum.
