Title: Transforming boss
Post by: megamanzero639 on January 31, 2006, 02:48:23 PM
I am trying to make a boss that at the beginning will ask a question. Based on that answer it shall transform into one of two monsters. I am able to get the monsters to transform but the new form has the stats of the previous form. Is there someone who can help me.

Well what I had in mind is you go into battle and the boss asks the question. So then the boss changes not only the stats but the sprite and the backround. Sorry for the confuseion.

ok so you need to get into the battle, either by random or enemy encounter, your call

then go to the monster groups, choose your monster group and look down, you'll see something called "battle events"

make the trigger turn 0 +0x and the frequency "turn trigger" and then make the event which looks like:

message: this is a question
show choices: yes,no
on yes:
transform monster(1): ghost
on no:
transform monster(1) : somethingelse

the transform monster button is on the 3rd tab of event commands, right side 6th from the top

thanks that helped... except The stats of the first monster seemed to carry over. Is there something I can do to stop that?

they only "carry over" their hp and mana
when you change them add the line:
complete heal monster : all monsters
