Title: A very strange bug [RMXP] [resolved]
Post by: Shattered on March 14, 2007, 05:40:40 AM
Greeting everyone, the name is John, nice to be here. I am asking for some help because I am experiencing a very unusual bug... You see, I have almost completed my first game with RMXP, when suddenly I realised that during battles against multiple enemies, the enemies would keep attacking the actors even AFTER they were killed, and their graphics were removed from the screen.

An enemy affected by this bug still looks "dead", in the sense that he is not on the screen, and ofc he is untargetable, and if you manage to "kill" all enemies like that you still win the battle and gain XP, but he keeps attacking every single turn.any ideas on how can I overcome this problem? I thought it would be a script problem, but I restored all my original scripts, and the problem is still there. Thank you for your time!

This is really an unusual bug. Try opening your database and go to the status effects tab. Check if your "dead" status effect has a box checked that should say something like "regard to zero HP". If it's unchecked, tr checking it and look if the bug is still there. If it's STILL there, upload your Scripts.rxdata as an attachment to your post, I will fix it.

Thanks Blizzard! :-) I had messed up the "knockout" status effect. Thanks for your help!
