I don't think MMORPGs can be done on RPG Maker. Lominisio meant go to yahoo.com or google.com and search up Elysium Diamond. It's a program made to make MMORPGS.

Yes, you can make an MMO on RPGXP. Most of us here have seen it done.

Let's ASSUME that there is a script out there that allows RMXP to make an MORPG and has no bugs at all. Once you get the script installed, from what I've heard, the game would run so slow no-one would play it even if you paid them.

Solution? Use Elysium Diamond.

Lominslo, be quiet you don't know what you're talking about >.>

NetplayPlus 2.0 isn't out yet, but 1.7 is, so you should be able to get an idea on how it works:

Besides, after looking at Elsyium, I'm convinced it's a piece of crap, the graphics sucks, and battle system sucks, and the interface is just pathetic.

Eclipse would be a lot better if you didnt want to use RPGXP. At least in Eclipse you can use all your RMXP resources.

But nevermind me, Darklord posted the MMO script you wanted.

Elysium Diamond is TOO basic. I have used it.
Go for VBGore. Yes, it's harder to figure out, but much better. And it's programmed in Visual Basic, which isn't hard to learn. And remember that you can change interface, tilesets, sprites, and what not. :)

Take a look, and if you like it, I say go for it.

Good luck!

EDIT:

Another engine is called PlayerWorlds, now in a "reborn" version. It's the one Elysium Diamond based from. However, I haven't tested it. It seems to be good, but is probably as simple as ED. I don't know. I might be wrong, and you might want to try it!

EDIT months later:

My facts aren't facts.  Elysium and all the other engines in this family are not based from PlayerWorlds, but from Mirage Source.  Sorry for my ignorance.
