Hey, as you can see, I am a new member of this site and I want to start off my saying that I have no clue on whats the size of sprites in RPGMXP.
See, I am currently making a character for Mugen ( a 2D fighting engine for the PC ). His name is Mugen, Heru. He is a character of a 5 to 6 part RPG series that I am writing about. the Story is done, well in my head. Now that I have a new computer I will be able to do my projects now which are:
Mugen characters:
Mugen, Heru (High Res)
Mugen, Heru (Low res) Maybe
Sol Badguy (making him the right way)
Guyver Unit 1 (High Res)
And other characters for mugen that will show all of my characters. In other words, I am planning to make a full fighting game using mugen.
I am building a website at the moment, just need to get things orginized the right way and I will start adding everything. I already have a set up, I just need to clear some coding issues up. This is will include a whole lot of stuff T.B.A.
And well, my other project is for RPGMXP. I am planning to do the whole series here. Just need to know how to mess around with RPGM. like what size are the characters and other things. There is just one problem though. I really suck at backgrounds IE buildings, landscapes, and other stuff. I am only good at character making (and its all from scratch no frankenspriting here). So I might team up with anyone that would like to help me.
If anyone would like to see my sprite work, just let me know and I will post them up. Just one thing, I find it easier to do high res sprites then common nes, or snes RPG sprites. I will need to pratice more.
Oh and the name of the story is called "Swords Of Chaos".
QUESTIONS TO START OFF
Okay here are some things that I need to know.
(1) Do i just download RPGMXP or do I need 2000 first?
(2) Basically tell me all the stuff that I need and why?
Welcome to the forums.
1). If you want RMXP, you don't need 2000.
2). I'm not sure what you mean. Just download XP and everything will be ok, lol. If you get 2000 make sure you get the RTP.

Thank you.
1) Good, that means that I dont need to download anything else, just RMXP
2) Meaning if I need to get other stuff for example, when you download Winmugen, you need to get MCM (mugen character maker) in order to load up you SFF (Sprite Files) and AIR (Animation Files) and so forth.
Thanks again Halo 8)
Welcome babe
Have a great time
Welcome to the forums, hope you learn as much as you can here :P
Welcome to the forum. Take an rpg maker and get into it. Youll have to learn the basics of it first, and it can take a while, but you should be able to make a great game in a matter of some time.

Well I down loaded RMXP and stuff, but I tried to see if anyone did a game for RMXP and I didnt see anything. I wanted to look at one to get to know the sizes of characters.
As I said, I was looking through the forums (tutorials) and I didn't really see anything basic. For starters, this might sound stupid, but what are the max sizes for characters?
Sizes between normal characters and Boss characters?
Once I know this, then I can start to mess around with RMXP. Well kinda....
