Title: Help Needed: Tutorial on enemy design
Post by: Retardedcow2000 on February 08, 2007, 05:34:34 AM
I've already started making my own game :). I've spent endless hours trying to tweak it, but I've run into a problem ???. You see I'm using RPG Maker XP and I designed a knight as an enemy, I test battled it and everything went fine. As soon as I tried fighting with my newly created enemy, I couldn't even put a scratch on it >:(!  Can some one provide a tutorial teaching how to make your own enemy?

P.S. Appreciate the help!  :tpg:

-_- whats the stats of the enimeies  *check Monster tab in the DATABASE*

perhaps you have the stats to high or your her stats to low.

This is asuming you are using the defult battle system of course, and for that matter do your weapons have any numbers attached to them for attack. ((trying to list most common mistakes))

Well I checked out the monster and nothing seemed to be the problem :o so instead of trying to modify the monster again I decided to boost my character lvl up by +17. Thanks! Yea I should have put a screen shot instead  :-\, but as a newbie I'm very proud of the work I've done on this game soo far. I know a little about RPG maker and hopefully as soon as I'm done designing this and I attend college for video game design then maybe I can 3D this game ;D. I'm not sure how to post a download link, but if I could then I would!

If you are posting about a game, a good idea would be to start a new game topic in "new projects" sub forum of the Projects/games section.

you can find it here:
