Title: Play my rmxp game without rmxp
Post by: fadark on February 06, 2007, 05:46:22 PM
I need a script that allows other people to play my game, even if they don't have rmxp.

Does this exist?
???

You don't ven need a script for this.

First when you make the game disk, choose no rtp. Extract it, by clicking on the new disk. Then go to the subfolder that has your imported files. Make folders for the trp stuff uoi used. then copy and pate where needed. like put a pam into the map folder

Okay like this. Go go RM's folder. now copy and paste what ever you need into the game folder. Then everything is copier, zip the folder and its good to go.

Also, make sure the disk isnt encrypted, it won't work if you click on an crypted disk so you can click and intall.

Also if this is incoherent, it's because I'm trying to help you when i'm stoned.

Well the pot wore off, so I'm good now. I hope I'm explaining this decent. Okay, first open rm xp.  Choose 'create game disk' choose the option 'no rtp' and make sure it's not encrypted either. Okay not that you have a game disk, double click it so it can make a folder for that game (Let's call it Faydark's Game).

Okay lets say you only used one rtp resource. The battler of arshes (fighter 1). Also open up my computer, clcik on C:, then click a floder called Games then in that folder will be a forlder that says RPG Maker XP (This is how P.Knights is setup, if you have the legal version the directory may be different) Okay in that folder are a bunch of sub folders. Go to battlers so you can copy Fighter 1

Now go to the Faydark's game folder. there should be a folder that says graphics. Go in there, lets assume you imported battlers, if you did there will be a folder called battlers, but if you did not import any battlers you'll just need to make a folder called Battlers. So Copy Fighter 1, then paste it into the Battlers folder in Faydarks game.

Also panoramas will have to be put in a panoramas folder, Charsets into a Charsets folder, etc.

Remember the fact that scripts are useful but their features can be achieved using a different way.
