  After much thinking and ploting I think I have a working series here. I had been wanting to create a unique RPG that people would play by using small aspects of other games. After weeks of research I thought of a title; then it was to try and make story that would work and not seem to clichéd. In the end I decided to make a series of games that told a huge story over time (like a Fantasy Novel series). Each game would give the player more and more information about the main story. And since I decided to go down this road this means I can make games where you play the bad guy, the hero, and many more aspects I have not listed. To make it official I am also making a website that will be dedicated to the game series. Since this is my first RPG game I have ever put time in to making and I am expecting it to be quite long. I hope the game series stands out enough to grab a your attention.
  
  The first game in the series is called: Dark Times and I already have a title for the next game in the series: The War of The Five Dragons. The actual game is called: The Legend of Insura. The word Insura is the name of the world the whole game takes place in and I added the "The Legend of" to indicate that it is a series of games. By using concepts of other games I have created an RPG that has never been done before. So my story will have clichéd parts (like any story), but you will keep coming back (I hope) when each game ends because of a huge twist I added in. I'm not sure how many games will be in the series, but if it's 3 or 10 then so be it.
  
  Staff
  
  In this game and the ones to follow it there are two types of staff members Official & Unofficial. Official staff members are people that actually helped me make the games. Unofficial staff are people I give credit because I used a script or resources they made. Since this is my Recruiting topic I am looking for official staff members. All positions open are listed below (the number next to them is how many I need).
  
  1) Spriter (2)- this person will make character sets, Icons, etc. If you wish to apply PM me on this forum with the following information: Example work and paragraph telling me why you would like to help on this project (Paragraph must be at least 4 sentences long).
  
  2) Scripter (1)- this person will edit scripts I'm using or make them from scratch. If you wish to apply PM me on this forum with the following information: Example work and paragraph telling me why you would like to help on this project (Paragraph must be at least 4 sentences long).
  
  3) Mapper (2)- this person will make maps for the games and make them by my specifications.  If you wish to apply PM me on this forum with the following information: Example work and paragraph telling me why you would like to help on this project (Paragraph must be at least 4 sentences long).
  
  4) Editor (2)- the editor will play the game as we  make it (I. e. our beta testers). They will look for bugs, grammar & spelling errors, and much more.   5) Eventer (1)- they will help make events. If you wish to apply PM me on this forum with the following information: Example work and paragraph telling me why you would like to help on this project (Paragraph must be at least 4 sentences long).
  
  Please take note I'm making this game in legal RMXP, but you do not need it to sign up for the project as I can transfer info from one version to another. How this will work is not a first come bases, but  (except for the editor), but by your example work.
  
  Story Overview
  
  It seems to good to be true. The War of The Five Dragons has finally grounded to a halt, with House Bandallon and their allies as the apparent victors. But all is not well in the world of Insura. With the death of the "Golden Knights," King Bandallon is ruling from the Royal Island to the far landmasses of the Rose Kingdom. The demise of  King Vesht and King Barrett has broken the back of the Rose Kingdom and the Trident Kingdom rebels, and the king's children are scattered throughout the two kingdoms. But as in the aftermath of any climactic struggle, it is not long before the survivors, outlaws, renegades, and carrions start picking over the spoils of the soon-to-be-dead.
  
  Annalies, a young  Cushing Student is caught up in the middle of a huge plot, and along her journey to become Cushing Master she meets a young man who helps her on her task of becoming a Cushing Master; but all changes when someone starts following them in hopes of obtaining her new friend. Lord Grey betrays Busshi and is helping someone unknown to him. In the end only one person will survive, for Insura is about to see some Dark Times.

  The characters in "Dark Times" are a small cast of a huge list to come, but lets keep it simple and give you the main characters in the game.

  Short Bio: Annalies is a Cushing Student, who joined after her parents where killed in The War  of The Five Dragons. She came to Master Duane and since then she has been studding hard to become a Cushing Master.

  Now the down side of this is I am going to use the default Battle System, but that does not mean I won't add stuff to spice the game play up. Such things as scripts and Side Quests will be added along with abilities you can only use on the Map.

  Unique Side Quests
  
  Besides the normal story, this game will have a few side quests as well and they are as follows:
  
  1) Forgotten Island- once you get far enough in the game you can travel to this island to obtain the most powerful weapon and Ura (summoning monster). There will also be other hidden Uras you will be able to look for.
  
  2) Dragon Shards- latter in the game you learn of a person who is collecting Dragon Shards. Every time you bring this person 10 shards they will give you a rare item, there are 50 shards total.
  
  3) Bounty Hunting- some people will ask you to hunt monsters or even people down. These requests can come from: people, kings, lords, even other monsters. There is 100 Hunts to complete, finish them all to obtain Konshi's Ruby; which will let you use his Ura.
  
  4) Soul Collecting- Somewhere on the Forgotten Island is a cave called the Lost Souls Cave, there are 10 ghost like monsters that appear in the game. Find them all and you can enter the cave to collect another ultimate weapon and the most powerful Ura who uses magic.
  
  5) Etc.- I will add more as needed.
  
  Map Abilities
  
  This idea comes from Pokemon, Map Abilities are abilities that will help you get further in your quest.
  
  Pushing- This ability is learned later in the game and allows you to push some objects out of your way.
  
  Disable Traps- Throughout the world of Insura you will find chest that have traps on them, you can force them open; but doing so will give you a useless item. Us this ability or a Trap key to gain a better item.

This is awsome, the feauters, the title screen ,the story, everything is nice and good.

I cant wait for it to release, or the demo, now quickly, post a map!

I can't post a map cause I don't have any. Thats why you see the Mapper request above. I thank you for your comments (and I LOL when you said you like my title screen; as i don't like it much myself). Well you reading this hopefully the project will sway you to sign up.

I like it! This is a great project idea. I hope I can be one of the mappers you need.

1. The title screen needs a bit of editing, see the white dots round the people and the green ones around the logo? Unless you wanted it then, forget this message.

2. Three words of advice for you: Get a mapper and post some screens of everything! chop chop!

So true, and I have a new design for the Title Screen; it will be way better. (and yes the dots are suppose to be there).

Any way as this is a REQUEST FOR A TEAM do so by following the INSTRUCTIONS in the STAFF section of the first post.
