He focuses almost entirely on the HDCP (High Definition Content Protection).
OMG. *saves page*
I'll read that when I have more time. Every knowledge that I can use against Micro$hit and which I can use to convince my friends that Micro$hit is evil (yes, there are some that don't believe it...), is good knowledge.
I don't plan on reading that but why would Vista be WORSE than XP?
Just consider the fact that XP already has 2 Service Packs. Vista is most probably full with yet unfixed bugs. I might get Vista someday in far future when it gets the one or other Service Pack and actually becomes better than XP.
Thing is one of those service packs (I actually think it's called Service Pack 2 - o_O) makes XP less secure or something. More fussy toward internet stuff, like having an arrogant firewall. God, I'm not exactly sure but it's related to program/internet compatibility.
And I also like the idea of waiting until the bugs are fixed, I didn't think to think of that...

*buys Windows Vista*
So he is saying that vista is acctually a lot of crap..
I agree !
The only reason why I like XP is because it looks better, I haven't even tried vista or seen any screen shots etc.
Personally I preferred 95...but most of the games I play now just wouldn't even recognize its existence. Bah. Ah well. Yet...to me, Microsoft is familiar, thus, better than any other trash such as Mac/Apple, and all the others.
The only real reason why I don't like the rest is because they are unfamiliar...and because they aren't microsoft...
I don't know why, but I tend to think that Microsoft is just well...better.
Unless...Chiakumu's Frequency Program comes up...

Yeah it WAS Service Pack 2. I never got it, I only used Auto-Patcher that has a few of SP2's updates that are REALLY useful. ::)
For hardcore gamers, MS is really fucking us over. They're releasing most of the highy-anticipated titles with DX10, which is consequentially only supported on Vista. I mean, what can we do?
Wait for someone to reprogram it and put it up as a torrent.
yeah, but that could take a really long time...
Hm, that could be a disadvantage...
Yet has anyone actually tested Windows Vista yet?
Like the people of Anesis said, I am not changing my current operating system to Vista until a very imp game/software forces me to...

My friend has. He says exactly the same like the title of this thread. It's worse than XP.
Vista looks pretty, it really does.
We all know the most importing thing about an OS is how pretty it looks :V
I never did read those. I did however read this. This site helped me boot my computer up faster so I agree with what it says here. http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/2007/01/5-sins-of-vista.html
Wow, that coming from a Micro$hit fan must really mean Vista should burn in hell.
YEAH VISTA SUCKS
Never trust expensive crap
This thread reminded me to mail Emily that XP CD for her laptop -__-
I got Vista >_> (Business edition)
Hmm interesting.
When will I be able to get it for less than 600 dollars? >.<
Maybe...
I got mine for less than 600$, but I got contacts... :-\
O_O You PAYED for it?! :o
I can download it for free and get my personal serial from MSDNAA. =/ I've done the same with my Windoze XP. Yes, my Windoze is legal.
From a legal point of view I bought Windows Vista Business.
I did get a 100% discount, but still...
I did it because I wanted to see what it was for myself.
Oh lol! As I said, we as students at the Faculty of Electro Engineering and Computing in Zagreb have the right to get several of Micro$hit's programs and even various Windoze versions for free.
Lolage: XP+SP2 is free, XP+SP1 is free, but just XP cost 9.95$ xD
Anyways, since it's MSDN Academic Alliance I think every college student can get stuff from there. I guess...
I didn't get Vista, because my friend did. Why should I put my laptop in danger when he's already testing it?! :B
XD
I bet Microsoft want to imprint Windoze into us in hope that we will have to use it when we get a work.
I most certainly would not have gotten Vista if I only had 1 computer. At least not yet.
