Post by: pliio8 on January 22, 2007, 12:43:30 AM
Ok, so i've made a rock-pushing puzzle, its fairly basic, so I want it to be better!

How do I make it so that when one event colides with the other a switch is activated?

Any help will be much obliged! ;D

how are you so sure? maybe they were meaning event collision. since player touch is its own option. Try using collision

This is a basic version of the same puzzle. You knock the rock onto the switch. After several of these the door opens.

I just thought of a way, but it's gonna take me a while to figure out properly. Shouldn't be too long, i'll post when done.

Ok I have it, What you do, is you have the rock event, and when you push it, it checks the location of the rock, by palcing it in a variable, and uses conditional branch. When it is on the switch, the door variable will change, opening it. IU have a demo file, which oyu can open up to see how I did it.

(Make sure the switch is part of the chipset, (layer 1 2 or 3, else it will not let the rock go on top of it.)

After you have placed the puzzles, tlak to the door to unlock it (in my demo)

Also, remmber, that when you set the x,y vairalbe's, click on the space where the switch is to get the position.
