Title: Display Damage in an ABS
Post by: Fortis on January 18, 2007, 05:21:00 AM
Hey guys,

I was wondering how you would print numbers onto the screen to show damage for an ABS. I would quite like to make my own Event Based ABS, and I really need to know if it is possible and how to do it.

Btw, I would be using a variable for the damage.

Cheers,
Fortis.

Sorry, but that works only via script. You can't control sprites via events. The only way would be using different pictures for damage numbers, but it would be hard to make and it would lag a lot most probably.

I've tried it with events, and he's right. Your best bet is to find an ABS with something like that already implimented, or learn to script it yourself.
